Villa Haiddé is a 3,900 sq.ft., two-story, beautiful four bedroom beach house located in Punta Bonita, within the Villas Caney Complex, a gated community with 24-hour security, near the well-known beach town of Las Terrenas, in the Samaná Peninsula, in the northeastern tip of the Dominican Republic. It is within walking distance (less than 500 ft.) from Playa Bonita, a beautiful Atlantic Ocean tropical beach featuring a waterfront pedestrian walkway with limited vehicular access, lined up with small country-style hotels, bars and restaurants and blessed with a yearlong ocean breeze.
The house is fully furnished, and offers air conditioning, ceiling fans and private bathrooms in all four bedrooms, three of which are located on the 1st floor with two full-size beds each, with the master bedroom being more secluded up on the 2nd floor and equipped with a king-size bed, walk-in closet, safety box and its own, large private bathroom.
On the 1st floor there is also a nicely equipped kitchen, with integrated breakfast counter, a dinning table capable of sitting up to eight people, living room, and a family room with a full-size sofa-bed, ceiling fan, TV set with digital cable, DVD player and a mid-size, yet portable AM/FM radio with a CD player. The area opens out to a nice back terrace with four ceiling fans, a restroom and plenty of seating space leading out to a 350 sq. ft. swimming pool which in turn is integrated with a 100 sq. ft. spa which has its waters fall in a cascade into the pool, with a nice wooden deck and several lounge chairs surrounding the pool, along with a gas grill for those wishing to do some poolside cooking.
All windows and doors, except for the front door, are screen-protected against insects. The use of mosquito repellent is recommended if you are going to be outside, especially during dusk or dawn, and during the rainy season. There is no land-line telephone service in the house, but there is cellular phone service available from Orange Dominicana and Claro Dominicana. Several U.S. carriers have roaming agreements with these companies for their customers visiting the D.R. WiFi Internet is available as well.
